£1200 budget for a new gaming rig

Hey, I want to buy a new gaming rig because my old one is getting a bit outdated. I'm playing all sorts of games and I also want my computer to be able to record and render videos, not too fancy videos. I play most new modern games and I want to be able to play with the settings on high and some decent fps. Examples: Arma 2, Hitman Absolution, Borderlands 2, Tomb Raider (when it's out)...

Anyway I can spend about £1200 a bit more if neccesary but I want to keep it around that. If you guys could help me find something decent I'd appreciate it. :D

Do you just need the tower?

If so is there anything you can salvage from your old rig? Case, PSU, HDD, OS ext.

What are the specs of your old rig?
