Justified & Blues Blood - worth sticking with?

Justified is excellent, blue bloods couldn't be more cliched, with SOME good cast members, and some freaking awful ones, but the good ones are wasted. Its one of those cop drama's where every character plays a cliche, the cop who bends the rules, the family member who is in law who things the law has to be followed to the letter, and though I didn't watch many episodes, I will assume the boring situation that she gets into places where she ends up being less strict about following the rules, etc, etc.

Justified is an excellent cast who almost all act brilliantly, even down to the smaller characters for the most part, excellent story arcs, excellent lead and some ridiculously cool lines.

/drops bullet on guys chest, "the next one will come a lot faster", then a scene with a cop investigating him, explains how the guy got a bullet of his, and the investigating guy thinks its the coolest thing he's ever heard, its just freaking awesome.

I loved that bit. I also like how Raylan is usually trying (and often succeeding) to sound and look cool, rather than the writers trying (and often failing) to make the character cool.

I think Blue Bloods is one of the most shockingly bad tv programs to ever be aired. It's genuinely cringe-worthy and I can't get why it's popular. They are all paragons of virtue: one of them went to Harvard and could have been a top lawyer but decided to join the police (how noble), another is a former police commissioner and his son is the current commissioner (as if that ever happens), then there is the other son who is one of the best detectives in the NYPD and just so happens to get all the main cases regardless of where they take place in the city, then there's the daughter who is a DA.

No family in the world is as perfect as they are, I'd like the show if there was a bit of darkness, maybe a bad apple or two in the family for example, but they are all just too perfect and it is nauseating to watch. As if to ram this down your throat, they then sit down in nearly every episode for Sunday lunch (why does every episode seem to take place on a Sunday?!) and discuss the moral issue that that episode is trying to peddle. That lunch always ends in an argument where one person storms off and has to be talked to by the dad or grandad.

It's the modern equivalent of diagnosis murder, a crock of **** that somehow proves popular. Anybody who thinks this is good should first get their head examined and then start watching The Wire. It ***** all over this show. /rant

How does every episode happen on a Sunday? It's spread out over the week . You realise not everything happening in the episode happens in one day?

Also not sure how you compare The Wire to Blue Bloods. They're completely different types of shows. I think the issue here is that you don't seem to see what purpose the show servers. I don't think they're trying to make a show that'll have you at the edge of your seat or have you waiting for the next episode. It's just not that type of show.
