I need help from Noctua cooler owners (lost the key)

Hey people,

Bit of a problem. Bought a new build and want to sell my old one. Only my Notcua NH-U12P heatsink is firmly attached to the motherboard.

I can't find the unlock key! (the long thin phillips screwdriver)

I have the box, all the extra socket mounts. Just not the key. I can't find it and I think I must have come across it and chucked it thinking I don't need it.

I was wondering if anyone had one I could borrow just to unlock it from the motherboard so I can sell the board and CPU. If anyone has one that they don't need that would be even better. I'm quite happy to send a few quid over paypal for it/postage.

If not I will give Noctua a email and see if they will send one my way but thought I would ask you guys first!

I dont know what happened to mine, but i just use a long phillips, couldnt you get something similar from your local B&Q etc ?

My Dads a plumber with a stupid amount of tools and we have been through so many sets of them lol. It's getting the right size and length to fit down the heatsink. They are all too wide

Don't really want to risk buying a bunch to see if they fit. Like I said I will mail Noctua before then anyway.

Ah bugger, dont think mines a perfect fit , but it does the job, actually mines a NH-14 , but i presume its the same , are you AMD or Intel.

I'll have a look in my loft tomorow and see if its still in the box.

Well the cooler fits both but the board it's on is a AMD. That would be cool if you could dude. I went in my loft to get the box as well and I couldn't figure out how to get it off till I read the instructions and they I was "ahhhh what have I done with that!" lol.

Sorry please ignore me, I've just looked and can see what your problem is, with the 14 there's a genuine gap you can get a Phillips down, where-as you look like you've a couple of tiny holes to poke through.

Could you ( if really desperate ) cut the handle of a long phillips and weld another bit to it to elongate it.

Sorry for not letting you know. I got it and went to try and look for the motherboard to take the heatsink off and realised it's still in my rig haha. I'm waiting for my repaired mobo to arrive.
