Bought this a few weeks ago for a 2nd system

When I first got it had a play and thought the stock fan profile was a bit OTT as it maxes out at around 60 degrees which as you can imagine the card hits quite easily.
Didn't think anything of it as I thought id just create a new profile with Msi's own afterburner when I set it up in its new home.
No dice.
Tried Trixx and overdrive too. Neither work.
Well in thruth they work on the desktop I can ramp the fan up and down but as soon as it goes into the game it ignores whatever manual setting or profile I have created and as soon as we hit anywhere near 60 degrees both fans hit 4000rpm. Where it stays
I haven't had anything spinning at 4000rpm in my case since the old Athlon XP days and can't say I had any wish to go back.
Thought a new bios would have fixed it but there isn't one for this card.
Also thought about modding the bios and changing the profile as I have done in the past with cards, seems you can't do that easily with these 7k series cards.
Has anyone got any ideas before I start a RMA for this thing?
