FAO humbug

its at stock speeds as i just reset everything. had problems with my mobo this morning and thought i had fried it but managed to get it running by taking bios battery oput and leaving it umplugged for 10 mins.

so i assume that by oc the cpu i may get a slightly higher score then

Yes, 1611 sounds right for the Tahiti 7870 at stock, i think mine is about 1500 at stock.

when you have your new Drivers installed run it again at 1050Mhz.

PS: Did you get 1200Mhz on the GPU without overvolting?

Edit, 50Mhz at a time on the memory :)

heres the screenshot for u dont understand why its a lower score than what it is on stock

yeah its an a10 5800k which i cant for the life of me manage to get past 4.1 no matter what. was told if i could oc it i would get higher score in heaven 11

Let me just fire up Heaven run.....

PS: are you trying to xFire with the APU or do you have 2 7870's?

CPU overclocking is something different, we can deal with that later...

I think it is the CPU that needs overclocking to allow the 7870's to stretch their legs.

how do i go about that?? i can get to 4.1 using the multi but 4.2 wont boot which is strange given its supposed to have a 4.2 turbo out the box. i have an all in 1 water cooler, coolit eco alc, so thought i could get 4.6 easy as most people seem to get that on air

Sorry, I know nothing about AMD CPU's (they smell like old people is all I know).

I have never been a fan of the auto overclocking though and manually setting volts and timings is always more efficent. Humbug is the man with "All things AMD" and I am sure he will help you get it stable.

Heaven is not that CPU intensive, i can't see it making that much difference, gregster, tho i will concede i'm really struggling to understand what going on here, you may well be dead right... :)

We can take this in to the CPU room and try that, but first...

@ rabc, assuming you did not touch any of the settings in Heaven, ran it as is, which is what i just did at the same GPU settings as you, and well, i more than doubled your score on a lesser GPU, you should be getting more than me.

I'm looking at the 5800K's iGPU and thinking, "is that whats actually running?" but the score, i think is to high for it.

Can you disable the iGPU in the BIOS?
