DO NOT buy the 27" DGM Monitors

I am on my second 27" DGM. I originally bought a Hazro but that only lasted 3 weeks so I decided to try the DGM. That lasted about 4 or 5 months. I originally thought it was the power supply because it was making a strange noise and the monitor would not come on. OcUK replaced the power supply but I still had the problem so they sent me brand new replacement monitor (including the power supply).
That was 3 months ago. I was actually lucky in a way because my first DGM had some nasty backlight bleed whereas this latest one is almost perfect.

The service from OcUK has been first class but I won't buy a budget monitor again. I'll save up and get a Dell instead.

I had noticed more of these monitors making their way into stock, but seeing a lot of complaints has kept me away.

Still shocked to see the news of Fractal, my R2 has took quite a few knocks, and the build quality is excellent.

Mine, apart from the weak stand, was great for the few months that I owned it, until we got burgled and it was stolen.

Sure there was some back light bleed and the build quality might not have been up there with some more expensive monitors (and it was labelled as being a DGM) but for the money that it cost and the support of OC I was happy enough to buy one.

A 1440p monitor for £299 seemed, and was for me, a very good buy indeed. Sure I would have preferred a Dell, if only for their superb support and exchange system etc. But they were around £200 more and did not offer a glossy black screen either (great colour depth and contrast etc).

All in all the DGM is a worthy consideration.

Strange I have used quite a few Fractal cases in builds and tbh have found them to be superb quality. I use an Arc Midi myself and have no complaints at all it's a superb case.

What was the problem with the Fractals? I have an arc midi.

I'm with these, never had a problem. Not that I've tried to bend my side-panel in half...

O/T: Monitors are one thing I'd always either not buy cheap or go well reviewed.

got mine today and the power brick doesn't work from the start
not a brilliant sign and i was going to upgrade my gpu tonight but i may have to hold off brr

any idea on how long a rma request should take
i told them Tuesday it doesnt work and its now friday and theyve replied to webnotes with nothing helpful
all i want is a working powersupply not sure i want the monitor anymore if just getting a new power supply is this cumbersome

I bought a 27inch pcbank from Moogleys about over 6 month ago which I think is similar to these, was the best PC purchase I've made. I get the impression that the Korean imports on eBay are worth a shot for £150 cheaper, even though they are pretty cheap build quality.

Tbh I regretted selling that screen and have now purchased a Dell 2713.

Glad your still happy mate.

Might be best to get rufund and buy another make

if the power supply turns out to have blown the monitor it was connected to for less than 30secs
then i will get a refund and just buy a 27inch 1080p
thus negating any need to upgrade my gpu aswell i guess

Guess i'm in the lucky category for once.

Got an awful Hazro then plumbed for this in the original 319.99 deal and it's by far my greatest ever PC purchase.

The stand was awful tho so ironically i bought the hazro EM3122 stand which is top notch.

Going from a 1680x1050 tn samsung it still amazes me everytime i turn it on!

Seriously considering one of these. Ill hold off for a little after reading a lot of negative feedback though. Saying that what product has all positive feedback these days.

I love my monitor and have considered starting a thread called DO buy the 27" DGM Monitor.

What makes you think that is necessary? Everybody knows the positives of buying these monitors, a separate thread isn't needed for that. There are already plenty.

The point of this thread was to show the bad things about this monitor. Things that you don't often hear about. It's great that yours works, as I'm sure hundreds of other customers' do, but there are many people who wouldn't want to take the risk knowing how fragile they are, which is why this thread was started.
