I put all my details into the size guide and it told me i was just inside the XL size.
I ordered an XL, and put my details in the order again and got a note from them telling me that a L would suit me better.
I took his advice and went with the L and it fits perfect, i think an XL would have been too big for me.
Send them an email with your details and see what they say? It seems that the size calculator isnt always right.

Cool will do!

What tops are people wearing in this weather? Predicts 7 but windy so im not sure if im better in windproof jacket over base layer or winter jersey over base layer as havent ridden out this year yet :o

First club run today, went pretty well. I was on an intro ride of around 18 people, most of whom hadn't ridden in a group before, myself included. That meant there were a few slightly nervous moments with people being a bit too keen on the brakes or not signalling what was ahead. When everything was working it was great fun though, had a bit of through and off after the cafe stop and that was good. Ended up in the leading group most of the time and found the pace pretty comfortable which I was happy with.

The most amazing thing is how quickly we covered 70km, riding in a group really does make a huge difference.

I always just wear base layer and wind proof jacket. Never my body that get cold, only the hands and feet really.

Sorry to ask again, but what shoes do you all wear? I'm in the market for some new ones.

Cheers, think i will go with the gore and base layer.

Shoes wise i have shimano m077, spd but mtb style so i can still walk in them and use on the mtb, wear overshoes when its cold as they are full of vents!!

I have mo77s as well. Got them in a sale from CRC last autumn. Wear them with some overshoes. BBB neoprene ones, I think, but I forget exactly what they're called.

First commute since moving to my new place Cheltenham over the weekend. Still a pretty decent ride, with not much to negotiate.

And can any meteorologists among us please explain why it's still so freaking windy at the moment?! When will it end?!??!?!

As any part time meteorologist/cycling commuter will tell you, it's always windy!

So, I am considering a spin bike or turbo. I love spinning, but can you replicate just how hard you can make it with a turbo?

Space is a real consideration, and being able to move the Turbo much more easily adds positives for that, but I'd also like to look at a spin bike seriously. Budget is, well, whatever really: exercise equipment is often crap below a certain price point so for the right bike I'll consider up to ~£750.

Turbo wise, well, price again not that much of a problem, but I want to be able to recplicate a hard spin session if thats possible.

Nearly got run over today, roundabout and a 4x4 coming from my left, I'm halfway across when it approaches, she looks left but doesn't see me, luckily she was going left taking the same exit as me. I just hang towards the middle of the road so her car will fit to my left.

She then realises when I am right in front of her, turned around and looked at her, just held my fingers up to my eyes, ie use these you muppet!

If she had gone straight over then there would have been a bike/car interaction.

All Turbos are different in terms of difficulty. I went for an Elite Supercrono Power Fluid as it's one of the tougher trainers out there designed for powerful riders, as a big lad I produce a lot of power but my power to weight isn't the best :p

Of course with using your bike on a trainer your gears can alter the resistance for you too.
