Hi,

I have been using my apple iPod white head phones for listening to music on my iPod and HTC Desire S mobile.
The problem now is that the ear rubber ring on the heads has worn away and the ear phone do not make a seal in the ear. So this means the music / sound leaks out and I can not hear any music.

he HTC supplied head set with my Desire are painful to use. Takes ages to un raffle them and the cable is filmiest ! I have seen

So what heat sets ( either with or with mic ) should I be looking at a descent replacement that I can use for iPod and HTC Desire mobile ! ?

I hear the jays are very good, been thinking of getting the a-jays one+

I currently use some Phillips ones which I love but they're discontinued. I also have a pair of radiopaq dots. Cheap earphones that sound OK and are very small and compact.

I got the popular £13 JVC pair from the river place to replace the default Samsung ones, difference in bass is night and day. Heard good things about both the Jays and them RHAs. I'm tempted to give the RHAs a try as they're still quite affordable, has good reviews and it's a British company :)

i have Klipsch Image S4i, they're awesome-o with my HTC One S, and actually sound pretty brilliant with 'Beats' enabled

e: also OP, were you drunk writing that? :p

OP you are a heathen for using the Apple headphones! Nothing gives me the rage more than having to sit in the same tube carriage as someone with those! Argh!

I just bought the RHA 350s but to be honest I havent tried them properly yet. (Have only listened to them briefly at home). They feel like they're made very well, the fabric/braided cable feels very upmarket, they're aluminium, and there's good stress-protection in the right points. The sound signature is quite 'open' (that's probably not the word), in that the bass is really good, and the trebles are also very prominent. A bit lacking in the mids but apparently that improves after a while. I don't believe in burn-in but I'm sure it's a case of getting used to the signature. In any case I was hearing a lot of details that I didn't with my previous headphones.

They were replacing my Soundmagic E10s which were superb. I'd definitely recommend those for anyone - and I would have bought them again had I not been intrigued by the RHAs. The sound on the E10s is brilliant. Very natural. I'm hoping my RHAs will go the same way after an extended listen, but hopefully keep the nice crisp trebles in addition :)

Might be better off in here

Well this is the problem, either here with mobiles or the AV area !

As this question really applies to both sections !

I like the look the Klipsch Image S4i
The built in mike and the ear pods means I can use them on my iPod nano and my HTC Desire s as well !

The current hype on Head-Fi and the like are the Sony MH1Cs. OEM headset included with some of the newer Sony phones, they're said to be very good all rounders and are available for under £20 (one large shop will sell them on an auction site for £13.50 or so, though they are currently out of stock).
