Not a joke btw.

My 7950 has turned faulty after 8 days, and my old 6850 blew its bearings, I've had 'noof, so I'm looking to jump ship to Nvidia.

Any suggestions on a replacement for a 7950? £320-380 (maybe 400) budget.

Cheers!

I still hate Nvidia.

1 GPU was faulty and now you want to jump ship, despite your spoiler?

Just RMA and get another one, you know as well as anyone you pay more for the same thing on the Green side.

If you want to go green you should try some of my cooking  :p

GTX 670 will see you right :)

I think I can stretch to a 680 though, worth it?

2 GPU's have gone faulty mate, and I've lost count of the amount of games I cant play due to AMD gpu;

The Secret World
Gothic 3
Dead Rising 2

and there are tons of games I play which all boast huge fps gains on a Nvidia card due to branding. Yeah I know Nvidia are tramps but I just want rid of all the bull**** that having an AMD card brings with it, even if it isn't their fault. :p

If you don't want to go red or green, how about blue ;)?

Anyway, I would just RMA the 7950 and see if the replacement is fine. If that blows as well, then get a 670.

^ Second the man above. Still under £300 (£0.01 under :D)
No real point going 680 unless you're compensating for something downstairs :D :D

Edit: The man above above, the one with two 680s...:p

EVGA 670 FTW will do very nicely :)

Blue? I'm already blue. :p I think?

Nah, I'm still under the 14 days guarantee and want to RMA + refund the card for a Nvidia, I have a 6850 on its way back to flog and quite a few bob in me pocket since I got the 7950, so the price difference is nothing now.

So a 670 is the way to go?

Btw I'm like, totally a girl so you know.

Did you try the new 13.2 drivers btw? they fix a tonne of games!

The beta drivers were the ones I was on when it went faulty, so I reverted back to 13.1 and was the same.

Linked a search of EVGA, so i posted the 670 FTW card.
I assumed Omaeka couldn't find the card.

Just gonna say that I don't at all want to OC, I'll be running stock clocks 100%.

Is that any good? Also, I'm using a 6850 backplate at the moment, I trust I'll need to swap to the Nvidia one?

Pretty decent card. 680 PCB and cooler. EVGA are a good brand and loads on here swear by them. It comes with a backplate iirc...not sure though...well 90% sure.
Edit: Unless i'm thinking of the SC version? Someone will clear this up though.
