Richard III possibly discovered in local car park

Pretty cool find. My town Reading, though largely boring. actually has the remain of King Henry I buried somewhere near Forbury Gardens, though the exact spot is not known. There are plans to excavate him for tourism purposes as apparently the Yanks love a bit of British history.

Only problem is that they think he may be buried under Forbury Gardens Day Nursery, so would have to knock it down to get him out.

not long now guys, might sound sad, but i took the day off work for this news,

i just think this is soo exciting given the storys behind him, and i will say now, from what i have heard on the rumour mill, this is indeed the skeleton of Richard III.

:D:D:D:D

I dont understand what DNA analysis is going to prove. They dont exactly have Richard III's DNA on file, so its not like they can do a comparison.

Unless they compare to DNA from one of his descendants? or something /shrug

They are using the DNA of a living descendant of Margaret and Richard's eldest sister, Anne of York, Duchess of Exeter for the comparison. She was found in Canada:
