NFL 2012 Season

Hmm, close game. Not too shabby. Happy with the end resut, but this wasn't quite so good as last years Super Bowl. The manning/Brady competition last year I felt was much better.

Congrats to the Ravens, bad ending to an outstanding game.

Power outage was my MVP, it was a bore-fest for the neutral otherwise!

Flacco is officially in that 2nd tier of QB's after his showing in the play-offs and in the SB tonight.

Meh, SF didn't turn up in the first half, I think the Ravens did in the second they just weren't good enough, had SF turned up in the first they probably would have won. Poor end, and overall terrible advert quality for a superbowl, maybe 1 or 2 good ad's, Samsung went with Paul Rudd and the green hornet guy, two unfunny guys who were unsurprisingly not at all funny.

Super bowl with bad ad's isn't a super bowl :p

Disgusting way to end, hold on crabtree and hold during the safety, ref gonna lift the tropjy?

Crabtree had hands on his facemask as well and there was no way he could have caught that ball anyway as it dipped miles in front, stop being bitter, you should be happy SF turned up thanks to a power cut

Wow.

Crabtree didnt touch facemask until he had to pushbof hold, also you can call both and reset the play regardless that shouldn't have been end of game.

Also Ed Reed waaay offside for 2 point conversion

29 shoukdve been ejected for shoving the ref.

You have no idea if the power cut made us turn up :), was there one in atlanta? I shoukd probably be glad no one was stabbed more than anything.

If there was a way I would "like" everything in this post.

Definite hold. That said, on 2nd should have stuck it in Gore's gut and let him power run. No guarantees of course but 3-4 yards at that point would have opened up the read more and given San Francisco a better chance to convert.

I'm completely exhausted from the game, rooting for the niners throughout. Great game in the end, bad calls from the refs and the Ravens at the end made it a little sour but all in all entertaining...though still doesn't supersede either Pats Giants Bowl for me.

Called it a night at 0100 at the end of the first half. Sounds like I missed a cracking second half. Didn't for a second think SF would completely roll over. I'll have to look up the highlights later on.

2nd half was great! I didn't see the forst half but the second was terrific, some great plays & really good action! :)

It was a great game. Glad the Ravens held on. It would have been annoying if people had been focusing on the power cut for the collapse.

Talking point was the holding on Crabtree I suppose, but it was happening throughout the game to both teams and there were very few fouls called because of it. I think the Ravens ultimately won because they were better at catching the ball whilst being held than the Niners were.

Did you watch the game? Flacco just aired it towards our secondary with no one near the receivers, ravens won because of lack of secobdary and the ref at the end.

The ref at the end? I am guessing you are taking about the holding call? The offense player (can't remember who it was) was pushing just as much as the defence was pulling, I think it was the right call.

I'm pretty sure Boldin for the Ravens made a couple of crucial catches with a Niners player all over him before the ball was anywhere near. Basically the Niners couldn't do that and that was a major factor when it came to deciding who won the the game. I only saw one yellwo flag thrown for that type of foul throughout the entire game and it was happening quite often.
