At this rate, I give you 12 months before you get a watch costing 4 figures :p

I don't know if I can stomach that kind of thought just yet!

wow, it looks so crap with the amazon picture (wouldn't of given a second thought), but, judging from your photo, i might just buy :D

Hah! Yeah it's been a while since I judged a product by the stock photos on Amazon and the like :p Tend to Google image search the model and go from there instead and then post pics that better resemble what it actually looks like.

You will look like Dell boy with all these watches:eek::eek:

They're not going to be worn at the same time man come on :p

I'm tempted to! They are warm little chips these! @ 4.4Ghz on air I'm hitting near 85c!

I wouldn't bother lapping, you might as well de-lid it. I've got a 5-10c variation in core temps because of the stupid gloop that intel put in the stock Ivy Bridge heatspreader. The 2500 in my other machine is much cooler. In fact I wish I bought a 2500K for my new build now.

Another watch?

What one is this?

Watches are addictive, I bought 4 last year. None over £200 mind.

I got me an APC CS-650 UPS. Last week there was a power-failure that lasted just 1 second (lights went on and off like a strobe) but the CHAOS it caused my W7 installation  The computer wouldnt boot, managed to fix that then it stayed stuck at login screen. Tried all the command-line trickery (fixboot, checkdisk, fixmbr) nothing worked  Had to resort to recovery console and restore to earlier date. Never again. Immediately ordered this thing :o

Have you worked out the running costs per month / year for the UPS? I'm tempted to get one as I have 3 Synology NAS devices.

They are hot chips, OCIng potential on air is more limited than the 2500K.

Still more than happy though!

Not exactly designed for my style of playing but for the price I got it, I couldn't say no. Absolute gain monster but I'm still managing to get some decent clean and blues tones from it.

Finally, electronics package arrives.

Got the LCD display working, but can't get the temp sensor right, even using the supplied info, my room is apparently 60c.

Had some change left over when buying a few essentials so decided to get some quorn to see what it's like.

I was pleasantly surprised with the Quorn mince I tried when Tesco had it on offer. I made a batch of chilli up with real mince and a batch with Quorn as I didnt know if i'd like it and didnt want to end up with nothing to eat.

At the end of cooking the Quorn one tasted really nice, so I mixed both of them together and everyone said it was the best Chilli I have made yet.

2500K really is the Q6600 of the current round of chips. So good and so overclockable. Mine has been at 4.4GHz from day 1 on air and idles ~36 degrees.

Pre-Ordered this:

Went for the Limited 2x180g LP+CD set since the sleeve has some really cool artwork inside it and the vinyl itself is patterned like the album art.
