Anyone who gets the thread title is a George Agdgdgwngo fan :)

Which bank do you use and how do you rate them out of 10?

Are there any particular features about your bank that you like or dislike?

I am with First Direct and would give them 10 out of 10. I have never had a single issue with them and any credit card fraud issues (2 occasions in the last fifteen years) have been refunded almost immediately.

The online facility is easy to use and has some useful features such as online ordering and a monthly sweep facility into a savings account.

The only downside is that their call centre is in Yorkshire but that's not their fault and I'm not going to deduct points for a northern twang :p

Mods - any chance of a poll?

HBOS. We have the 'Ultimate Reward' account which provides various extras such as insurance cover and AA breakdown cover. The online banking system the offer is excellent and so far we've never had any hassles or issues with them in over 15 years of banking with the Halifax/HBOS. Been using the above type of account for the past few years and I'm very happy with it so far.

So pretty much 10/10 I guess.

Co-op bank, easily the best service and absolutely no hassle.

Worst I've ever experienced is Santander.

Halifax, Bank of Scotland.

I like the online banking system better than all the others. Not happy with the changes to overdrafts that happened within the last few years, but other than that it's just a bank.

Brackleys Bonk. As advertised by the Goons all those years ago.

No problems at all.

Santander - unfortunately - awful bank. The online banking is horrible to navigate and they are the most unhelpful bank to deal with.

It took them 6 months to switch my account to them from Lloyds using their 'dedicated' switching team and it took another 3 months to get the £100 bonus for switching, which promptly got swallowed by bank charges still back lashing from the switch debacle

The only pro-point with them is that they now have a £12 buffer on all accounts, so if you go over drawn you and your under £12 they wont apply any charges. 4/10

Also got an account with the Halifax and I cant fault them 10/10

Bank of Scotland (Halifax). I don't do anything complex banking wise, but pretty happy with them. Good online system, lots of local branches and the staff actually treat you like a human being, unlike HSBC who I was with before.
