Fifa 14 should just have 1 formation which would please some maybe?

The amount of moans and groans about people using a formation or play style is just bizarre. It's a game if someone finds 5 at the back fun and works for them then good on them, no idea why others feel the need to force their ideas of what is fun onto others.
 
TBH I don't think you can win with just pace. Pace helps, 5atb helps, but you need some skill too so you shouldn't complain too much if you lose.

It's the same with the real football where there are some people who think teams should just roll over and get raped by Barcelona instead of trying to frustrate them and nick a goal.

The more skilful player will find a way to win most of the time, even if the opponent has 5atb or loads of pace. The game is flawed but it's not totally broken!
 
To be honest there is nothing wrong with using a 5 at the back team. You learn to adjust. Me personally the min I see a 5 at the back team (which to be honest I don't come across that often !) I just swap my formation to 5 at the back and make it as hard for them to sweat play as possible.

Think slightly tactically, nearly every player online who plays 5 at the back will sweat pass along with long/lobbed through balls. So why not swap your formation to 5 at the back. It clamps that down straight away. If you really do think you are a better player than the person you are playing then surely you will find a way to win be that sweat or pure blind luck (most likely the later in this fifa :p )

Now if there is scripting in this game (and I'm not saying there is) but IF THERE IS !!! :p its on overtime at the moment lol. I've noticed a lot more crazy physics/collisions. The craziest one was the other night (granted this went in my favour :p) but its 2-2 and the 90th min is upon us. So I'm thinking right someone is going to score now. I get a corner. I'm just thinking right I'm totally going to win this game now. Knock the ball in the keeper jumps and catches it. Kompany had done a diving header and sorta ran into the keeper. His keeper just like bounces back about 3 steps. I don't mean like stumble back I mean standing perfectly fine with ball in hand. Then just springs back standing perfectly fine holding the ball in the back of the net :eek: and I get the goal :) end result 3-2 to me that stupid glitch was the deciding factor in the game lolol.
 
No it won't not once the game has started. If you can form or sub players no chemistry changes. What they go in as they stay as.

Least that's my understanding.
 
i have no ideas on this either :)

when fut went down last night I went back to seasons and it seemed so slow but a more precise game which I enjoyed....

Why is FUT so fast and different to season when on same engine?
 
I think I've tried every formation in the game, I think the most affective for me are 4321, 5221, 3421 and 442. Although one day I can't lose with one formation the next it's woeful. 5221 is a damn good formation for attacking. I played it exactly how I played all my other formations, just get the ball up the field asap to my attackers, I thought that was the name of the game in FIFA? You don't win games passing around in midfield.

It's amusing those who moan about a formation though, everyone is out to win.

Besides 5221 isn't even remotely hard to play against, it's the OP 352 that everyone uses and is boring me to death seeing it every game.
 
I agree Andy, 352 has got so predictable and overated in '13. I play 5221 because I score lots of goals and win more games than I lose which I enjoy. I probably will try another formation in time as I have before.

No formation with 3 at the back should be OP, just look at City this season :p

Considering about 90% of my opponents use it nowadays basically sums up how silly it is.

Now that is boring.
 
Struggling to use Di Natale as ST in a 4321 which pains me as I thought he be perfect for me :( . Currently using Cavani and seems a little better suited to me. Any other Serie A strikers I can use?

IF Miccoli? Great all round striker, bar his lack of height, which may not be an issue depending on how you play.
 
Pause the game and it will be one of the 5 options after you pause. You can only pause a number of times and only when you have the ball.

On a side note my Serie A team really is coming together now. i started with 3 wins and 4 loses which kept me in Div 2. Last night i had 4 wins and 1 draw so going well.
