Yeah, but if the local conservative party is anything to go by, then the Conservatives have made a grave error with regards grassroots support. The local Conservative party has had a raft of resignations of party activists and members.
Personally I think there are more important things to concentrate on than redefining marriage....the economy and getting young people into work for one.
Why should we care what the Conservative grassroots think? I bet when the next general election is called the Conservatives will have more funding and party activists than all the other parties again.
