I don't do either of those so it's above adequate for my needs. Those parts may be fine for his needs but I was just pointing out they're bad, the monitor has high input lag and the GPU isn't worth the price/performance compared to a 7850.
On your tiny 1600 x 900 res monitor that may be the case... but still that's below adequate.
Equally they may be above adequate for his needs.
You're applying your own preferences to him but when I do the same you get all defensive.

Adequate can be defined in so many difference situations. Is his adequate to get by 1080p ultra gaming? Maybe. Is that his primary use? We do not know. Why should you judge him without any knowledge what he is doing.
