It makes no sense. The striker doesn't miss if its saved, the keeper has saved it because the shot was on target. A miss would be putting it wide or over the bar.

+1 I was going to say something but I really couldn't be bothered, but since you brought it up.

A lot of people say that because Hart saved it it's a bad penalty... but if he dived to his right then it's a superb penalty made him go the wrong way and all that... a lot of people don't say it's a good save, which it was. A bad penalty would be tapping it with no pace, or not hitting the target.



Any way has anyone said how Neymar looks a lot like Emeli Sande tonight?

Indeed, many penalties are a coinflip, its an intense but **** way to decide a match.

Well if a penalty is taken properly the keeper should not be able to save it, penalties favor the taker not the keeper.

Do you really deserve a free shot on goal from 12 yards because someone fouled you after you missed your shot though usually under no pressure? These types of thing seem to be more about the opinion of the person giving the decision rather than the letter of the law to be honest.
 
Why don't england generate a proper atmosphere and sing instead of playing some dumb mundane tune all night which is bordering vuvuzela territory.

Watching welbeck is just frustrating, why is he being picked for England? Is it cos he plays for united?
