What would y'all suggest different, alredy have a case and PSU but wouldnt mind a nicer case if it could be done. Also do i really eed 16gb ram, wil 8gb suffice? SSD? Will 120gb be ok? Really would need 2tb for media.

Is that two kits of RAM you have selected?

For gaming 8GB of 1600Mhz or better will be fine, that will be around £40, you would only need more RAM for proper video/music/CAD usage.

Not sure about case brand but the psu is a modular hiper 550w from a few years. Think it would be compatible? So can stick with 8gb ram and 120gb ish ssd, Def need 2gb hdd tho. Looking at the BF prodigy, nice looking case, with the ram ad ssd savings might be able to keep in budget.

Hiper PSU were nick-named Hiperexplosive, so I would get a newer/better quality unit.

If you went for the Prodigy case then you will need a iATX board like this nice one - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-417-GI&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=2071

If it's a Hiper psu then I would change it :( They are not the best made power supplies. One of these will fit nicely in a prodigy case if you decide on it. You will need to change your spec to a mini-itx motherboard as well.

Forgot to mention would probably want to OC the 3570 after about 6-7months for a performanceboost lol . Does an ssd really make that much of a difference? Would I be better waiting until the 250gbs drop sub 100. Ideally don't want to have to upgrade for 3-4 years but I could sacrifice a ssd until the end of the year if I can still get the best bang for buck system for the 650 mark, sans ssd or 700 Inc ssd. Your opinions would be most appreciated.

A SSD makes everything nicer to use, the PC boots faster, games load quicker, applications load faster, the overall responsiveness is just amplified greatly.

Going back to a normal HDD would make me cry now.

Only reason was choosing the prodigy was because it looks reasonably nice and will probably be moved between different rooms about 5-6 times a year. Could easily get a more "blander" case as long as I could still get a decent OC on air and will still be very quiet.

Thinking of leaving the cooler until I decide to OC. How does it stack up now? Or should I plumpt for the prodigy? Spoilt for choice
