Gaming PC Spec - £750

Its fairly common for them to jump around between 1-2 degrees. Still seams a bit high since I idle with the stock cooler (same case) at 32 degrees! And my toothpaste version at just under 40 :p You did install the cooler correctly right and use the thermal paste supplied?

Yeh the standoff's got me confused too :p Btw how have you got your 2 fans arranged in your case? 1 intake and1 outake I take it (get the pun) ;)

Yes, the cooler came with some Cooler Master paste (even though I queried that with OCUK on the phone, he said it didn't come with paste, so I bought some Arctic MX5!). In hindsight I probably should have used that over the CM paste, but it'll do...give it awhile to bed in then I might think about re-seating it.

Toothpaste?? Oh dear...

I have the one behind the CPU cooler sucking out, and the one at the front sucking in (SSD cage level). You could get another 1x in the front, then 2x big fans on the top if you wanted - crazy! Case might take off..

Well I've got every fan position in my Ghost covered now :p Cant wait to put a tower heatsink plus dual fan GPU in there too :D

Download realtemp and then compare results? Your idle shouldnt be higher than mine with an aftermarket heatsink....

Edit wait. Whats your load temps again! Idle temps might be high because of room tempature or something...

I put a couple fans out of my old Antec 300 in. An additional one at the front, and an exhaust fan at the top.

Idle does range from 29-33C now. Load (Prime95/OCCT CPU) is high 60's. Hit 70/71 occasionally. Don't think that is that great, right?

Does sound a bit high, how much paste did you put on?

8GB.

Had 16GB; but they were two different sets of 8GB (2x4GB). So I'm using 8GB atm to eliminate the potential issue of using two different sets.
