You can buy them from auctions like anyone else,
IF's are Black cards, ie: Inler has 3 cards, his 81 (Gold) 82 (Black, first inform) 83 (Black 2nd inform).
TOTW is inform, but its the IF's that are currently available in packs.
TOTY in Blue, these were 11 players released in January in accordance with the FIFA Team of the Year.
MOTM are Orange cards, used for specials MOTMs and also during tournaments like the African Cup of Nations, Euro 2012 etc..

Whats actually "not right" for you? From all I've seen of his play its a pretty accurated representation, pretty strong/determined, pretty good finishing and rather nippy.
On the other hand, I think its time to try a full Ligo De Brasil Brazilian team
Struggling with a 2nd CB for Dede and a good GK, that aside think I'll be good to go! Neymar to RF, SIF Lucas to LF!

My defence dont stand a chance against Welliton, Ronaldo and MOTM EMenike
Kaboul is one of the fastest defenders in the game.
Plus there is handicapping of some sort in the game, ever since I upgraded my team from 79 overall to 83 overall i've gone from charlie sheen to stephen hawking. therefore it should have worked in your favour too.
just put all my players up for sale, going to sell up, sell my coins on ebay and then ebay the game, last time i buy a fifa game i expect, this one has enraged me for the last time.
why can't ea make a normal game without exploits?

There may be some handicapping but the pace is still obvious. With him playing 3 up front with all striker at least 92 pace is going to be difficult. In the end he won the game by switching Emenike from RW to ST and scored two headers

That's some serious coin abuse right there, how much money spent to built that team, unless they got lucky on a TOTY Ronnie or Messi.
I've kinda wasted a couple of hundred thousand chopping and changing over the last month. I doubt I'd have as much as 1.8m if I sold up now. Still though 1.8 ain't bad
Was wondering if any mesiah had an idea of likely player upgrades just sat on a couple of informs that I dont really want to be worth discard value.

Blaszcsykowski SIF
Piszczek
Naldo
Alaba
Podolski LM (trying to flog)
Prime example being aguero IF card fifa 12 then his upgrade renders that worthless.
Tried IF Reus in a 41212 defo not worth the money, however if he doesnt get upgraded i think IF LF Reus & RF Robben might be an option with 4321 in the near future.

Not at all, IFs are made when they perform well that week, doesnt mean theyre brillant the other 51 weeks of the year. UPs are normally given when the original card was too low as you suggested (like Cleverly last year) or when a players consisted played well since the game came out (this could include players with IFs, but might include ones that didnt get one at all).
So basically it could be anyone, this is EA of course, so where there is a higher chance of profits they will do that over actually rewarding players that should get UPs.
Lets see if they have learnt from last year not to match UPs stats to the highest IF available...

Rever at CB. 6'4, strong, and high def wr
Cassio at GK. 6'5, second best only to Guilerme IMO

Agreed mate.
Think ill keep them and see what happens more than likely Van persie should get one on that basis.
I do enjoy playing with the IF's ive got and i win more games than i lose in DIV 1.
