Day 1 today of http://www.juicemaster.com/7lbs-in-7-days-super-juice-diet.html wish me luck :p will let you know how I get along.

This morning super juice was OK till I added the wheatgrass and spirulina  ergh, don't think I'll be adding that again, lunch is a beetroot ginger apple concoction which is quite tasty.

Took 20 minutes this morning to prep everything for today so I think I'll try prepping tonight and see how that goes.

Apart from the obvious weight loss I need to give my colon a rest, my Ulcerative Colitis is playing up so I'm trying something different.

Anyone tried this?

It will work but as soon as you stop it will all go back on, its about making some permanent healthy changes to your diet that you can stick with permanently.

Why are you trying to lose 7lb in 7days? You realise that this is a horrible way to do things and all you are doing is paying some "rep" a load of money for nothing?

Juice fasts/diets are at best pointless, and at worst really bad for you.

The vast majority of weight lost will be water, so it will come straight back on when you start eating carbs again.

Want to get all of the benefits of a juice diet with none of the pointlessness? Eat more veg, and then sort your diet out so you're in a healthy calorie deficit.

I lost 2lbs this morning in 6 and a half minutes. Maybe you should try my diet of taking a massive ****.

Expected the above really.

I'm more specifically interested in giving my colon a rest for a week, my UC is in 'flair' at the moment and was reading about a juice / soup rest week on a UC/Crohns forum and this cropped up.

Since start of December I've been looking after myself see http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=23572020&postcount=53 stuck to that since then, completed Dryathlon lost 7kg in January, had a drink on Saturday night and frankly it just made me feel terrible.

Bootcamp twice a week since December and cycling when I can aiming for one good ride at the weekend.

i dropped 7-8lb in 6 days on my prep phase for my current diet, and I have only put back on 1lb-2lb!

no need to go juice crazy just ditch carbs :)

No nicotine therapy? Sounds like a much more attractive route than juice dieting (which will probably give you the squits anyway)...

I'd rather drink 15l of wheatgrass a day than drop carbs

You do not need to drop carbs to lose weight, why do people insist on this mentality?! :(

you know full well i dont believe that you must drop carbs to lose weights! It was more to support the fact that you can drop weight fast and keep it off :) you dont have to assume it will pile back on again afterwards. Howthe OP does it is up to him, but i consider dropping carbs and filling out your meals with lots of veg and meat and good fats is better then drinking probably less then 800 cals a day of juice only to ditch the weight. I dropped the weight while still eating over 1700 cals a day! just very low carbs thats all.

I also dropped weight on i nicely rounded BB style cutting diet plan that you put together, it just took longer :)

I'm losing weight and building some muscle at the moment purely by exercising more, specifically by cycling. My diet hasn't changed at all. It was reasonably balanced and healthy before, so why change it?

Drop carbs indeed... Get out of here.

How about just have a decent balanced diet, with fruit/veg/fish/meat/decent carbs of your choice and expend more than you eat?

Seriously, all this quick win/fad diet ******** is just stupid.
