Dilemma £1800 to spend on a Macbook Pro..

It's reached Germany but its been damaged by UPS so Apple have to prepare another one :/ and since it has the RAM upgrade its another 3 days before it even ships.

Apple must have sent me someone else's with the same spec because another one has just been Dispatched :o estimated date is +1 to the previous which isnt bad, as long as UPS dont break it this time..

Well it arrived, monster of a machine :o benchmarking quicker then my 2010 27" iMac in every department and portable! so cant complain.
Other then an odd software issue with Adobe CS 5.5 Master Suite (see software forum) that resulted in having to upgrade to CS6 it's been a dream :D cant get over how quick the SSD is, expected it to be a mid or low end model (knowing Apple lol) but its lightning fast! 440 write and 485 read on blackmagic test.

overall very happy :D
 
Out of interest, how long did it stay in Germany? My iMac is supposed to be delivered tomorrow, and since Monday night it's been to China > Alaska > Kentucky > Philadelphia > France > Germany, and has been there since 1am today.

I'd have imagined it should be in the UK by now to get here for tomorrow? Mine is also being delivered by UPS Ireland!
 
It went to Germany twice on the trip (heh) and both times it got delayed by a customs inspection (:rolleyes:) so was held for 2 days both times.

You might be in luck, mine suddenly changed to being arrived at East Midlands Airport at 3:15am on the day of delivery (from showing import scan in Germany like yours), by 5am it was in Tamworth and 7:45 out for delivery.
