Any advice guys, at moms currently posting here on the gfs phone. Ive connected two water leads to the cold and a brand new one but everytime i turn the lever to let the water through it just spurts out everywhere.

Anything im mising?

All new washers are cold feed only, connect the feed to the blue tap.

yep leave the red one and just connect washer dryer to the blue one, easy peasy

Yea done that as soon as you turn the tap on the water spurts out everywhere. Just bought a new lead and the same happens, im at a loss.

Where is the water coming from? The hose, washer or at the brass pipe where the hose connects to?

Is the rubber seal/washer inside the pipe there and located properly?

Are you tightening it on by hand or by using an aid e.g water pump pillars or mole grips?

I used one of thee and kept splitting the inner seal.

Hand tight only.

It's easy to cross-thread these and they still appear to be on quite far, but they aren't. The plastic cap on the hose usually should screw right back untill it's very close to the blue plastic tap.

Tight by hand but it spurts out through the connection in the hose.

Just gave it more turns with mole grips and its just a fast drip now but cant get a seal.

You need the rubber washer it seals it watertight!

get some teflon plumper tape stuff if its not a tight enough fit

You don't need PTFE or any sort of tape. The fill hose will seal as long as the rubber washer is intact.

Put a fibre washer under the rubber one in the hose, boom.

All sorted, messed about with the seals and think it was cross threaded. Tightened by hand and no leaks!

There is a service valve on the other side of that T junction isn't there? (OK I am assuming that is what it is, pic doesn't show much of it)
