I moved a girl into my house. We agreed 50% of gas, elect, tv channels and food. The rest was my responsibility as it was my house. It didn't work out but at least I didn't feel like I owed her anything.

Get a joint mortgage. If you don't want to, ship her out.
She sounds like a sponger that won't ever pay her way if she can help it. No job in the past two years? Geesh.

If you're going to give a girl a claim on the biggest asset you own then wait till you're ready to go the whole hog and stick a ring on her finger... if she's just your girlfriend then why take the risk, if things don't work out you don't want to be back paying her all her previous mortgage payments or having to sell your house.
