Diablo 3 sold 12m on PC !!!!!

It doesn't tell you how many D3 was actually sold and how many were included as part of the WoW annual pass.

So I have some doubt on that number.
 
and massive amounts of actual sales were off the back of d2 and some would say fairly dishonest demo videos, i very much doubt that will be the case for diablo 4 :(
 
1.2 million due to the Wow sub the rest are sales so 10.8 million sales and the other 1.2 million are free but people paid a years WoW subs for them at about £100.

£40 x 10.8mill = £432 million
£100 x 1.2mill = £120 millon

So over half a billion Pounds, not bad business regardless.
 
I bought it, played it, loved it, got frustrated with it when I realised I pretty much had to use the AH to progress past a certain level and ultimately never played it again!

To be fair, judging from the number of e-mails saying my account had been hacked/banned/misused, I'd be surprised if it even worked anymore! :D
 
Skeptical of those numbers, but saying that, i don't know how popular Diablo 3 is, first time i've ever heard of the Diablo series last year.

Seriously though, I never ended up buying this, it looks like an insane amount of repetition/grinding which put me off.
