New folks over the back from me have built a hut type enclosure and have FOUR dogs in it, barking not all the time but is getting to be a right pain, I'm off work today so they prob bark every day. Solution?
 
Look at your local council website there should be stuff about noise pollution there, and who to contact. They will have expected you to have spoken to the owners first if you can.

Lol aye that does work, massively annoying when they are barking in morning when u are trying to have a lie in on ure day off, I think the occupants wouldn't be receptive to reasonable discussion, tbh its utterly selfish .
 
Ignore the guy who said they expect you to have talked to them thats nonsense. if you talk to them and it doesnt change ( which it wont) then they know who to come after or get revenge on when the council starts legal action against them.

Set the ball rolling straight away report them to the council and they will tell you the procedure, it will eventually result in some recording equipment in your property, you set some recordings and then when they evaluate them if its too loud they will take legal action against these selfish and ignorant dog owners.

It could end with eviction or removal of the dogs, do not suffer in silence take action immediately, noise pollution and barking dogs etc ruins lives, you should have peace and quiet at home.

I have been a victim of this myself and i took action.
 
We have a similar problem and our council say "In the first instance it is better to try and resolve the matter yourself and approach your neighbour and explain politely that you are troubled with noise. If it is a Housing Association or rented property, then approach the landlord.


If after taking this action the problem is not resolved, then formally make a complaint to the Council. Information is available on making a complaint in the "Nuisance Problems" section of this website."
 
Been there done that ended up the council jobwerths did nothing and actually started believing i was tempting dogs by having my windows open.

Agressive german shepard used to hate me living next door and would go at it 24/7 along with 3 other local dogs.

In the end up i lost my sanity £2k in improvments and payments id made on the home and decided to move out.My reccomended route if they are the usual kind of scum who keep 4 dogs in a tiny pen is to simply say nothing and murder all four dogs.


Its either move out,go through years of abuse and counter accusations by the scum with four dogs or kill the dogs and say nothing.Im an animal lover myself and choose instead to move out but if i could rewind the clock i would string that shepard and jack Russell off the washing line.
 
Not much can be done in terms of the noise if it's generally within the boundaries of 7am and 11pm. Between those times, well, "dogs bark".

The dog warden and council will only otherwise be interested in whether the animals are fed and have access to water when penned. If they don't, then action could be taken against the owners if they're penned all day with nothing to drink.

While it would be nice to think that people who leave their dogs cooped up in a cramped pen outside all day would easily have said animals removed from them, it's not likely to happen. Some effort in training could even see them quietened, but the type of people who create a nuisance such as this aren't the type to even bother trying.

Don't get me wrong, i am. I've grown up with dogs as part of the family, it's just i know how much severe noise pollution can affect your quality of life (and mental health!)
The dogs don't sound like they are having much fun either being cooped up all day. I think in some situations it's easier to just cut out months and months of hassle and stress and just give the dogs a nice OD on sleeping pills or something not too unpleasant.
 
Exactly if they already lack the morals,decency and education to know that keeping all those dogs like that is cruel then there is not much hope a that a talk with them will work.

Lets face it its an issue that needs adressed as puppies and after that its pretty much impossible unless they fork out on bark collars and batteries for the rest of the dogs life which isnt going to happen i dont think.


I would never dream of letting my dog bark as theres no difference than a dog barking and lettings its presence known that some drunk alco sitting in his back yard all day shouting.

One would be instantly punished and the other is still seen by some as a minor issue which its not as its people houses and privacy and right to life that these owners and dogs can destroy.


Got any pics of the owners or the dogs? Im putting a tenner on them being the typical welfare/shameless family with the 4 dogs and the wife with the sailor tatoo :)
