VW Up

Love them. Bought the Mrs a High Up! last year and it's a great little car, I prefer driving it on my commute then my motor.

The heated seats are great, there's loads of room inside for the size of car, the media screen is fantastic with sat nav, bluetooth, sd card, trip computer, etc. You can even download more apps on to it. Seats are comfy and it generally feels solid and bigger than it is. Useful split level boot thingy majig too.

Went for the 75bhp version for a tiny bit more poke, still returns 60mpg. Considered the Citigo but the equivalent model was only a couple of hundred cheaper which we'll probably see back in residuals.

Excellent. We had a good nose around a base one but we are looking at the White one with all the bits added pretty much. I like 60mpg but I also like this so need to check when it arrives. Funky.....I believe.

I quite like them, started to see more and more of them on the roads around here. They seem to get very complimentary reviews. Considered a Fiat 500?.

Not sure they are very good now the hype has died down. We did look at the Abarth one when they came out, looked ace but went with the MX5.

Aygo's old now and not a patch on more modern cars. Citigo or Mii would be where my money would go, the up! is just as good but I prefer the more utilitarian interiors of the others. All are great though.

Fiesta with the 1.0-litre EcoBoost would be a great choice too.

The Fiesta strikes me as being in a class above the like of the Up!, Aygo and Fiat 500 in terms of size and cost. The 1l ecoboost engine is a work of engineering genius but from what I've seen, it doesn't get close to the mpg figures stated whereas 55+mpg is easy in the Aygo and Up!.
