Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch

this game just got a whole lot better  and i havent even played it yet!

i didn't catch if they evolved or anything when their level goes up though?

Yep, once they reach a certain level they evolve, making them a lot stronger than they'd be had you just tamed the evolved version in the wild. I can't wait to see what more of my familiars look like evolved :p

You will have to wait till you get to a further point in the game before you can get them mate.

thats what I thought is it a case of exchanging the tickets at a shop or do I have to find them?

sorry not that far into the game yet.

cheers

You exchange them, but not at a shop. Don't want to tell you where as it could spoil it for you :)

thanks , do you know if the fighting system gets explained a bit better as I go along , I had my first fight but I'm not sure when to use the defend button and what the timers mean.

Yeah it does, think of the first 10-15 hrs as a tutorial :p a lot of hand holding goes on. :)

I had this game yesterday and due to the fact that I've had to help my parents as they are both ill, I have managed to get an hour into the game and I got to say that the game is really good and I am enjoying it very much. Hoping to get more time this weekend on it so I make good progress in the game.

i spent a few hours on this this morning before work and im hooked, it seems to of done everything right, the art style, the music, the atmosphere, the characters, the battle system, its just an all round beautiful game and at any point you can just stop and look at the scenery and its great.

couple of little gripe is i would love to zoom in a bit on the world map to make it easier to decide what enemies to fight and to try get a back attack on. I know this is part of a RPG/JRPG and the fact they cant spend all the budget on voice actors but i would have thought at this stage all text could be voiced? (surely its not disc capacity on bluray and how much audio can be compressed these days) although to keep the text in the correct accent is a very nice touch!

im too early in to judge if this is up with the top games of the generation but its got the potential for it, and as im sure many are i cant wait until i can start capturing them and build myself a familiar army (im presuming you can hold more then your battle team??)
