Back on topic.

If they are as fast as a 690 and come with 6GB, would any of us be paying £829 for instance? (just a guess figure)
 
If it was only...£830 i'd probably end up getting it.
The only thing that would really put me off is no waterblock being available in the not too distant future, not sure i could handle being back on noisy air for longer than 2-3 weeks.

Same for me. Noise I can put up with if they are bringing water blocks out (I take that as a given) and the sale of a 680 to help ease the blow makes it a little easier.
 
I would be HOPING that aftermarket air/water would become available.

Stock 680 was pants compared to the Arctic Cooling unit I have on it now which cools FAR better and is totally silent. If no decent air came out and water did I would likely end up having to swap to water...and a 900D :D
