Take the plunge, convert him to ST, and he should do you a lot better!

He's a low gold so over the next week or so he'll drop to basically nothing. Just in case people don't want to visit the EA Forums for the upgraded golds they are here:

As Pogba was a silver and got upgraded to a gold I'm unsure as to whether EA will be upgrading any more silvers to golds. They said there will be another wave with silver upgrades but I'm assuming that will just be OVR changes but nothing making the leap from 74 > 75. :(
 
I can't believe Felliani hasn't been given an UP card, despite having 2 IFs. He's been one of the top 5 midfielders in the country this year. The same can be said for Baines at LB, he's the equal of Cole now, if not better than him.

Still, I was considering putting a team together with Falcao in it, and now his UP is out (and barely better than his NIF by the looks of it), I should be able to get him a lot cheaper than I thought I would.
 
Amazed how poor the UPs are - so many shoe ins - didnt they do this with RvP last year but people complained and they capitulated...

Shame I had to offload my SIF Inler!

EDIT: I doubt Falcao will drop that much if the UP isnt a big improvement, more likely the UP will enjoy a slightly higher ceiling price...

Am I the only one who is surprised at the pathetic upgrade EA have given to Michu? Oh wait, I'm not surprised at all actually, it just means they can get everybody foaming at the mouth when they release the TOTY cards with the stats he actually deserves. :p

Definitely going to rebuild a La Liga team, looking at UP Benat his stats are jizzworthy.

Probably because he's already very highly rated to begin with, players who are already highly rated are less likely to get an UP than players who have been underrated from the beginning. NIF he is an 86 and he has an 87 IF, I agree he has been outstanding thus far but in FIFA terms he is simply living up to having such a highly rated card. Players like Falcao shouldn't get an in form for this very reason in my opinion, whereas lower/underrated players who are performing well IRL should have been given more generous stat increases. I don't really buy the official line of not wanting to make certain IFs worthless.
 
I don't know why people care about ratings anyway, when Kone and Miralles are better up front than say Aguero and Balotelli we all know it means nothing.

Aguero can't out pace Johnny Evans...a new low in this game.
 
I daren't think what FIFA 14 will be like, they'll be introducing falling over when running seems as passing and first touch are such a hardship for players.
 
Im sure with Kinect youll have to dive to ensure the GK saves goals. Theyll make running where you have to do it QWOP style :D

Getting back to the footy (:p), I decided to build this team on a whim tonight...

Think it cost me around 120k in total (the bonus in buying at 2am I guess), and it plays ok so far. Benzema has been immense in the 2 games I've played, while Falcao has been underwhelming. Looking forward to giving them a proper run out tomorrow. I have a Serie A side in the exact same formation so it should be easy to spot which players I like and which I don't, as I at least can't blame the formation!

Just played someone online and beat them 6-5 using my new La Liga team (no idea how he scored 5, I hammered him), but Ozil, who I hadn't thought much of before this game, absolutely beasted him. He scored 4, 2 of which involved him dribbling past at least 3 defenders. I'm seriously starting to love Jordi Alba as well, his pace and dribbling from LB makes him like a winger when I'm using 4-3-1-2, he pretty much tore this last guy to shreds as well.

120 games and still going strong, made a few midfield changes over time and tried Ben Arfa for 10 matches, but other than that its been solid.

Agreed I have Falcao in a 4231 team and he goes missing, I rarely seem him unless its a counter attack where hes actually pretty useful. Ive found Benzema and him against me to be challenging, Falcao though seems more the provider for Benzema to run onto and score.
