*** The Official Nokia Lumia 620 Thread ***

Thanks - So you certainly know what I'm on about in relation to the slightly delay touch response when scrolling then? I was just paranoid (as always) that it might have been something wrong with my device!

Cheers
It's very minimal, but noticeable compared to my 820.

It says ......

Carrier: Virgin.

So does that means it's unlocked ?

Ps. It's a bit of a culture shock after using my S3
Correct. Should work with any SIM.

Sorry mrgubby - gave you the wrong information earlier & apologies. I used to have a Virgin phone, and I bought a T-Mobile from Motorola, ages ago and it worked.
EliotG to the rescue

It just seems to me that its like when you swipe up or down to scroll, the scroll doesn't move fast enough. Maybe its just purely down to scrolling speed and maybe needs a bit more optimising.

Tom I know I do not have another Nokia phone, but the scrolling is perfectly smooth. If a Lumia 920 user tested this, I'd expect it to be smoother (1.5 ghz vs 1 ghz). This phone has a lower resolution however. So do you like the phone, I never did buy a 920.. waited for the 820, but the phones are big - too big. I think the 620 is perfect.. and lets face at the price.. you can upgrade no problems. I love the fact its Windows, for that reason I bought a smart phone.

Yeah the scrolling is perfect. Not disputing that. :)

The only niggle I have is when navigating around a webpage, the touch doesn't register as instantly as it should.

EDIT: Another thing I've noticed is that the lock button on the side doesn't always work. I think it could be something to do with having Skype running at the same time though because the device seems to act very strange at times with Skype in the background.

Yea.....don't bother with Skype, its still very much on the Beta testing phase for WP IMO.

Yeah shame really considering the main use with my Phone is Skype. I just hope my lock button isn't deciding to fail... Going to have to give it a test without Skype running.

It's got the most awkward, diddly, pain in the **** uSD card holder I've ever used

/edit/

and now that I've got the card in....it has deleted all my mp3s from the Music folder

Since I've turned Skype off, the lock button appears to be fine. Bit strange that is, doesn't do it all the time, but when I'm in a call and the screen goes off on it's own, pressing the lock button for the first time doesn't wake the phone up, but as said this only appears to be when Skype is running.

Will keep an eye on it though!

Strange thing for me is actually using Skype is fine, very good on fact, it just seems to badly affect the phone overall when running in the background.

Well yeah that's exactly the same experience I'm having.

Skype Voice calls are very good, IM's are a bit troublesome because everytime you want to reply to someone, you'll have to let the app 'resume' for about 8-10 seconds.

I just found it weird that when a voice call was active and the phone is locked, pressing the lock button for the first time didn't always work. It's got to be something to do with Skype running in the BG.

Their was similar complaints in other WP threads and the 920 thread, just didn't want you thinking it was a phone issue, it seems to be across the board, WhatsApp can be a bit dodgy as well esp on the battery front.

Another thing, I've noticed a multi touch issue...

I downloaded the multitouch app from the marketplace, and the phone is struggling to detect more than three points. When its on charge it can detect a few more but its still all over the place.

Looks like its a trip back to the 02 store.

Whether the phone is a 1GHz or 1.5GHz the smoothness should be exactly the same. Swapping the phone won't make a difference I don't think, although zooming with 2 fingers on mine is fine. I've recorded it as a problem, let's see if anything comes out of it.

I've decided to get mine returned. The multi-touch issue was really strange and I'm not sure if it would be hardware or software related.

Every single phone I've had now has had a defect of some fault. iPhone 4S had yellow spots across the screen and a purple camera, Galaxy S III had a really buzzy ear piece and now this had a multi touch issue and navigating around websites was a task and half.

Back to my POS HTC Explorer but the build quality is perfect with no defects. Sigh.
