Forgive me mighty OcUK motors for I have sinned

Great deal if you got that for £10k, as most approved used 450h's are at least 12k normally

Not sure what the brakes are like on that model but I suggest new aftermarket pads, made a huge difference to my 300

Is that a tape deck?!

Car looks good though, I do quite like Lexuseses.

Yup it has a tape deck :D I have it in the back of my head that it was the last car produced that has one fitted as standard though I wouldn't quote that as gospel.

Like it apart from that gash wood.

It really does photograph very badly, it's certainly not the highlight of the car but I was amazed at how not horrific it looked in the flesh. That said I would have preferred something different there.

I like!

It's a GS450h I believe. They by default are SE-L spec yeah? Or at least, top toppy top spec.

It's an SE but as far as I can tell the only things it doesn't have is a sunroof (sorry moonroof) and adaptive cruise which as I've never had it I doubt I'll miss.

The two options that I really wanted was the Mark Levinson stereo which is very impressive and the heated/aircon seats.

That interior looks hideous and where's the rest of the boot???

That aside looks decent for £10k. CLS would have been my choice there.

Rest of the boot is full of batteries, it will certainly be a sticking point for a lot of people but as it's just me in the car 95% of the time and it will comfortably fit luggage for me and SWMBO it's not a problem.

The brakes feel OK, it's had new pads recently so no plan to change them anytime soon but will consider aftermarket ones when it comes time to change them.

why do some cars have the confusing maze type gate for the gear selector, yet some mange it in a better looking straight line?

can't fault the car choice though!

That bank of switches near the arm rest looks like they are straight out of something from the early 80s.

Why can't the Japanese quite grasp the concepts of style, luxury and quality?

If that car had some nice switchgear and a better gear stick, it would look a million times better than it is.

My dad has the 4.3 V8 version and its a beautiful car to drive or passenger in.

Love the usual bash the jap interior comments lol, people can't help themselves.

So the car returned an indicated 35.7mpg on my commute from Cambridge -> Reading this morning. Very happy with this bearing in mind that 10 miles on the A1 was stop/start and 18 miles on the M25 was stop/start and the economy actually went up during heavy traffic. Very back to front :D

I also arrived at work without backache for the first time in a year.
