Paypay withdrawn from bank question

I always thought that Paypal withdraw money from your bank account instantly when paying for something but I recently paid for an item and on Paypal it says 'transfer from bank account complete' however nothing has came out my bank account ( )

...yet

How long does it usually take because I dont want to spend money, then it come out a few weeks down the line and take my bank into negative money and have my bank charge me

I'm with Lloyds and it usually takes a couple of days for money to "come out", however if I take money from an cashpoint then it comes out straight away.

it is a debit card. normally it comes out straight away

Does the same with mine, its just that it doesnt show but the balance available is lower.
