Clearing out the cellar, as you do, and came across the above. Had it for donkeys now without much use at all. It has force feed back, all the drivers and the pedals too.

Is it pretty much redundant in the age of USB, or, is there any chance of using it yet?

I have seen some game port to usb adaptors maybe they would work, but then i dont think the drivers will work in windows 7 or 8.

anyone know, care to comment?

cheers

I have a sidewinder wheel and when I tried to set it up a couple of years ago I had a lot of trouble with drivers, essentially I couldn't stop the throttle polarity being inverted - basically maximum throttle until you press down on the pedal, lol :)

Think mine may have been a USB connection though, I bought it around 1999-2000 I think. So just getting it onto USB may not be enough.

There was a guy on here a couple of weeks back wanting to do the same, the USB adaptor worked for him. Give it a shot if it doesnt work just flog the adaptor on an auction website.

Yes i suppose i could do that. I have been having a read around tho and from what i can understand the drivers are win xp based and will not be compatible. Nevermind will try it and see. If not they might make a nice decoration piece lol.
