New Call of Duty is called Call of Duty 5: Future Warfare, which will be released later this year (2013)

No doubt people will complain it's the same ol' thing again and no doubt it will sell millions. I for one will be pre-ordering, lol

Yeah people always complain. I will also be pre-ordering, as I always do when a new CoD gets released.

Why would they name it "call of duty 5" when we're on COD 9 already? Most likely this year version will be called Call Of Duty X.
This whole topic sounds like BS.
 
Well the last COD to have a number was 4 so they could call it 5 but I agree would be stupid and make no real sense.
 
I know after COD4 the old Infinity Ward team were supposed to have a future warfare game in the pipeline but that never happened because of what happened with them and Activision. Most likely it's now the game that Respawn(the team that formed from old IW people) are working on.

I don't see what else they can do with this game franchise now, it's all been done over and over, apart from a new story what is there which can give it a new lease of life?

Time to put Cod to bed in my opinion, come up with a new theatre of war, be innovative not predictive.
