BMW and M Power Owners

There is no point getting tyres through BMW - most of the dealers don't even fit tyres and will call a mobile place to do it anyway. I had tyres through BMW once because I managed to negotiate a pretty decent price, and it was the mobile van from the place I normally used that came out and did it!

There are a couple of really decent tyres around that wont set your budget on fire for 17's - Continental SportContact and Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric. Last time I sourced some 17's for my Dads Touring they came out at £100ish a corner for the F1's.
 
My driving style is awesome. That is all. I don't actually know the size etc, so will have a look at that tomorrow when there is light outside, too cold now!

I am very nonchalant about everything, but I am trying to focus on stuff more, and paying more attention to my vehicle is now something I want to do, I do love that car.

I may source to get the work done elsewhere for the other parts, but will see what they quote in comparison. Then go from there.

I have a friend who works for ATS so if I can get the info for the tyres I should be able to get them a bit cheaper.
 
Out of interest the climate temp display in that ad is in F, is it easily switchable between that and Celsius?

oh yea i expect high millage with this age, but looks well maintained and with only 1 owner is a bonus!

anything major to look out for on an 04 E46 ? not sure if this model has xenons?
 
My 335i Convertible engine warning light came on, no dramas though just a broken oxygen sensor which is being fixed under warranty.
 
I'm trying to find out information on retrofitting either of the following, but am not having much joy...

1) usb into the armrest
2) dab

I want them both to hook into the idrive system. There is so much info out there that I just don't know where to start. My setup is an e91 2007 with the 8" ccc idrive system. I have a single menu button with the maps on a DVD in the dash and with the programmable buttons. Looking at wiki it looks like I have the ccc update 1.

Any ideas on if these options are possible?

would retrofitting invalidate my AUC warranty as well?
 
My E46 328i is slowly losing water, it needs refilling every month or so. I can't see any mayonnaise in the filler cap and it runs perfectly fine so my thoughts are probably the cooling system slowly leaking somewhere.

How much of a job is a cooling system refresh? The expansion take has been replaced in the last couple of years, anyone got a ball-park figure for a decent indy/dealer doing the job? If it's just hoses it sounds like something I could do myself, even the pump and heater matrix bit can only be clips and bolts surely? I'm reasonable with a spanner and I guess there are a few guides around.

Not cheap. I believe the parts alone will set you back a few hundred depending on how much you want to refresh it.

My 330's gone back to the 'specialist' yday after the top hose connector on the expansion tank ruptured and blew the hose off. Coolant everywhere. Starting to despise this car now lol.

Did my cooling system when I got my 330, £600 for all parts and £40 mate rate per hour labour, still slightly loses coolant, not a great deal though.
 
How do I re-sync a key on an E46?

Seemed to have borked my 'main' key, won't lock/unlock activate/deactivate alarm. 'Spare' key still operates fine in that regard, and 'main' key will start engine thereafter..?
