It went back to original spec, just read the full article for it. I was surprised how badly it was damaged the main tub had the back 1/4 ripped clean off with the engine and gearbox ending up 20 yards down the road.

So it doesn't actually say whether the insurer is paying out or writing it off. Any ideas on which one is was?

The insurer approved the repair work, in the article they mention another F1 was badly damaged and received a new main tub, Atkinson wanted his repaired retaining as much of the original car as possible so they rebuilt his tub rather than replace it.
