Audi Q7 'V6T'...?

Hi all,

Guy at work has just got a brand new Audi Q7.

Badge on the side says 'V6T'

...is this a new engine model?

I assume it's a variant of the supercharged V6 FSI in the S4/S5 (which are badged 3.0TFSI even though it's not a Turbo).

I would say you are correct. I was in the Audi garage yesterday and saw V6T badge on the side of the S4 I was pretending to drive as my girlfriend was looking at the Q3'a.

328bhp, production ended in Oct 2012 of the petrol for UK markets.

Wonder what engine they will put in the next S4/5? How come you can still build an S4 on the Audi website?

You need to be really careful when using sarcastic put-downs because it comes back twice as hard on you if you get it wrong

Production of a UK Q7 that's all, it's still an engine used in other product lines and markets, just clearly made little sense and hence sales in the UK that there no need to add complexity to the production line.

Except you advised Audi's website, where its not listed, because it's discontinued.

Frankly it was a reasonable question.
