I'm interested in which drummers you like.

I've got several, but will start with this guy:

Youtube links if possible guys, cheers.

Brian Downey
Ian Paice
Neil Peart
John Bonham
Nicko McBrain
Buddy Rich
Bill Ward
Cozy Powell
Phil Rudd
Vinnie Appice
Charlie Benante
Dave Lombardo
Leonard Haze
Simon Phillips

I've got loads more besides but can't recall them all at present.

It's all about feel for me, I'm not bothered about technical perfection or how fast a drummer can play a sixteenth double stroke buzz roll or whatever! Many people will probably scoff at my choice of Phil Rudd due to his seeming rudimentary style but he has timing and feel that IMO eclipses that of many so called technically gifted drummers.

I think you read my original post wrong mate. It's all about "the feel" for me too.

I'm not a drummer or musician by any standards. I just thought Bernard Perdie was into his "thing".

Oscar Harrison of Ocean Colour Scene has always been a favourite of mine.

The solo at the 4min mark is pretty good and he's always seemed to be into the feeling of what's 'right' for the song...

Playing in virtually an ACDC tribute band I don't scoff at your choice and I know a recently formed tribute band who tried 100s of drummers to find one who could keep that timing all night.
Another amazing 'in time' drummer was Tommy Ramone (The Ramones), he was the Manager but everybody who came to rehearsals couldn't keep the beat up so he carried on doing it.
