Hi,

I've just discovered after having purchase Office Home and Business 2010 Retail (32bit) last week, that PowerPivot for Excel has limitations which aren't there if running the 64bit Versions.

My question is, can I download the 64bit Version of Office and still use the key that came with the 32bit version?

Thanks & Regards

I usually use this page when downloading office, It is an office microsoft page to get access to the backups of office 2010.

Hopefully, once you put your product key in, it will give you the option for all your downloads. Maybe 64bit is on there.

Hi,

Thanks for the link.

I think I've just been a complete tool here........ :o

Previously installed was Office 2007 32bit, upon receiving the 2010 Version I just slung in the DVD and it obviously detected the previous 32bit version and I proceeded to upgrade to 2010, although keeping to 32bit.

Exploring the DVD there is a x64 directory.

So I'm going to un install Office and then do a clean install, which I hope will give me the option of 64bit over 32bit.

We'll see.....

Regards

There should be a separate "setup.exe" within the x64 directory - IIRC you have to run this one specifically, as the main setup.exe in the root of the disc will install the 32-bit version by default.

And yes, the product key is valid for either version. :)
