Are there any higher wattage PSU's? I assume they are at the lower end of the scale to combat heat.

These would be great though for a HTPC!

There maybe a 600w version coming, but Seasonic are still developing it.

It wont be cheap though.

Seasonic have just told me that their 520w has been known to continually work at up to 640w during testing. But officially it's 520w.

The efficiency did drop to 89% at 640w though, but it output that just fine.

For most systems the 520w would be fine I guess, maybe not for those nutters with dual GPU's.

Of course, that nice shiny AX760 in my computationalizing contraption, is completely silent up to about 550w, and then has a nice fan for those more toasty moments, which personally I find a little more reassuring than an entirely passive unit, even though they're pretty much the same thing..

I'll never understand the fuss about fanless. Even if you use some ~600-800 RPM 120mm fans with quality bearings, they will be completely inaudible, and will have significantly better temps than a fanless setup.

Sounds good, fan is usually needed when doing something intense so is hardly a distraction then anyway. But absolute silence is a premium product

You can see why they used mesh to let the heat escape quick but will also take in the dust as well.

Really nice did not feel we would ever see 500watt+ ps with no fan but this is golden, since I sleep 1 meter away from my pc ever fan counts.

very nice but expensive. My Seasonic G Series 360 is nigh on silent, perfect for the HTPC.
