The note 2 is a better phone than the GS3 but the size isn't to everyones liking. If the size is ok get the N2, otherwise GS3

I've tried clicking, but it won't let me look inside!!!?!

I have an S3, its a great phone, but i would prefer a note for the screen size.
Since the note didn't really fit into my clothing, i thought the S3 was better for me.

Go into a shop and have a feel of both, see if the size is ok with you.

That was really bad wasn't it.

I hate typing on the xperia s its too small.

Would you still choose the note 2 over a nexus 4?

If you don't mind the size, note II every time! Same phone more or less as the GS 3 except bigger and better screen, better battery life (however, you can buy a official samsung 3000mAh battery for the GS 3 for about £30 so battery life will be better than the note II)

However, there is no point doing anything yet as you have the next lot of phones coming out very soon, xperia Z, HTC one/M7 and then the GS 4 in April.

If you badly need a phone now and can't handle the size of the note II, then either the gs 3, one XL, X+ or nexus 4 (IMO all those other phones are better than the nexus 4)

I'm still deffo preferring the note 2. Bigger is better in my opinion ( and the wifes).

Since ive had my ipad i cant stand the xperia.

I think im deffo gonna go for the note 2.

Go for it then! :) There won't be anything out that will have as good of a screen for size, functionality with the stylus etc. till the note III and that won't be till around Summer time.

I have the S3 and have used the Note II, for me the Note II is fine for a small tablet but pointless as a phone. You look ridiculous using it on a phone call. So I guess it depends if you want a tablet or a phone? If you going to make many phone calls get the S3, otherwise if it's more for apps/mail get the Note.

Just gone through this myself and went for the s3. The note is just to big for me you can't use it with one hand which is a real issue for me. The s3 screen is more than big enough! It dwarfs the iphone 4/5 but is still easy to handle and so thin!

Had the S3 at release and the Note 2 not long after its release, Note 2 wins it for me all day long and if anyone says it doesnt fit in their trouser pockets they are obviously wearing skinny jeans and by default you should kick them out of your life.

Skinny jeans are silly there's no doubt.

...

but needing three hands to function a "phone" (I use the term loosely) is a joke. Two hands to hold it, one to call someone/put a headset in or whatever is a joke.

It's a t-a-b-l-e-t.

I don't wear skinny jeans and I still find the note II far too big to comfortably fit in my pockets adn is a right pita putting and taking it out, let alone use one handed, you can feel it in your pockets and it just doesn't feel nice.

Lol al4x, it isn't that old! Still one of the best phones, if not the best phone on the market, should really use the word "phablet", not phone though........

If it wasn't so old and by Samsung I'd get the note 2.i wouldn't even consider the s3

Old?

You do realise it's still one of the top spec phones currently out?

Also I use mine one handed most days without problem and don't have large hands. For some things 2 hands are needed but on the most part if you've set it up for efficient use (as in, not using TW launcher and crap widgets/shortcuts etc) then I can't see where these complaints are coming from.

Homescreen gestures are an added bonus.
