Hello looking for a new router so I can put the Superhub (NotsoSuperHub) :) in modem only mode.
My max budget is £50 but I think am pushing it at that price for the features I want.
Unlimited Port forwarding and DMZ
DD-wrt compatible but not a must
1Gbit Lan so I get my full 120MB speed from Virgin.

Am I asking for to much here with a £50 budget?

Thanks

Yer same has Buffalo used to be. Couple year back they was Budget Routers now there Priced very high.

Yeh I've had mixed results with Buffalo, there WAPs are quite robust, but their NAS are a joke and the UK support (read Dutch CS centre) are atrocious.

I remember fault finding with a clients' Buffalo TeraStation at the controller had failed completely - it took Buffalo CS 5 weeks to admit it.

5 weeks!

I only used and still got A router from them its a superb little thing. I have install custom DD-wrt on it also but because I upgraded my Virgin Internet to 120MB I couldn't get my full speed because the Buffalo isn't Gigabit Lan :(

I'm using a TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND router with Virgin cable.

It's "budget" price I guess, but never had any problems with it.

It works fine wired to a couple of PCs and smart TV plus wireless to a couple of phones, tablet and Kindle.

This was my first router, so I aint no expert, but was easy to set up and never had any problems connecting with any of the devices I've tried so far.

Thanks for the little review :) It would seem a lot of people rate this router highly.
