Without even letting me know. Just received my bill from the above monkey brigade and found they had downgraded my broadband from 60mb to 30mb without even letting me know.

As you can imagine I am straight on the phone, on hold currently.

Be glad you can get VM I can only get crappy 5 meg here and i bet I'm only around the corner from you.

At what point did you notice? when you were using the internet or when you checked your account to see what package you were on? I doubt many people will notice any difference..

BT constantly re-grade my line, but that's partly due to their dreadful infrastructure. Total I'm on 4mb, tomorrow it might be 2, then 6 on friday.

When i joined virgin, they gave me the option to trial 60mb for a few months and then they would downgrade me. I chose to stay on 60mb but they may have downgraded you after the trial, give em a call.

They are ******** (dont normally swear but i'm mad!)

Just called them regarding our cancellation due to the price increase which clearly states there will be no charges if you decide to cancel and was told to sod off.

We called last month when the letter arrived and was told someone would call us back from cancellations but nobody did, we called today to check whats going on and are now told there's no log of our initial call and that we are now outside the cooling off period to cancel so all we can do is either stay or pay the remainder of the contract off.

Nice con to scam people into staying or paying

im also a heavy user, never been in there top ten mind you, or had a warning letter so far, but can do a lot a month each way :)

im now on 120mb, was on 100mb, wouldn't change for anything tbh, price is great, have all four services from them, tv basic, home line basic, mobile £12 a month for a great phone and deal for gf then 120mb BB, won't print price as it may make you sick/mad :) but a great deal, been with them since day one, was NTL user from when they first started, get loyal bonus, DD bonus, and pay phone line rental up front to get a discount on that as well, all good savings making my monthly bill dirt cheap :)

you can keep your BT fiber, our area is getting it now, but costs a bomb, VM is doing a trial now in london for 200mb, so roll on christmas when we should get it :)

speedtestnet results

122.80 down and 11.35 up, which is about average, can be better depending on time of day, never goes below 100 down or 10 up, had the new cat what ever cable done as well to box for faster speeds and new hub, which is as stable as hell and so fast for wireless, not that i use it mind you, i'm cabled in the whole house.

Called them up, god its like talking to a brick wall, still haven't got anywhere with regards to the broadband. Will call up retentions in a moment after I've calmed down a bit from shouting at some stupid bint at the call centre in india.

Can wait for the contract to finish in August I will be gone like a flash. Wanted to cancel but they wanted £28 per service! that would be 84 quid they can take a running jump!

Remember, you won't get your way unless you're talking to them from a boxing stance!
