7 chem IF Poldi ==> why not just use a 9 chem NIF?

Tried him at LW, his dribbling seems slower than the NIF so he was pants. Maybe because he doesn't have the speed dribbler trait?
 
I sold my IF Podolski when I got him, netted me just over 100k I think, as I knew there was no way he'd fit into any of my teams (especially with his poor weak foot). I'd rather stick with his NIF in my 4-1-2-1-2 Bundes/German team.

It's only the super rare or really popular silvers that arent really worth their price tag. They aren't really much different from your average golds, there are a lot of skillers/speed dribblers/pacey players in silvers, I've found they suit custom formations better. I'm playing 3-4-2-1 at the minute, massively underrated formation and can leave you very exposed at the back but I'm yet to face 5attheback/longballspam/10 year old American tactics with silvers. It seems so far to be more about fun

That is very true, silvers seem to attract 2 types of players, the one who want to actally play a proper game and are usually very good at it, and the types who should have never been born!
 
Forgot how good Balotelli is, not used him in a few weeks and never in 4321, bought the Milan version in, 2 hat tricks in a row so far, replace SIF Inler with Pirlo and the team works a lot better now! :)
 
Oops, I kinda ended up buying Ribery last night. I've not seen him going for anything less than about 520k in recent weeks, so when I spotted him in LF position in my 4-3-2-1 formation, for 498k with 48 minutes to go, I placed the first bid and went to bed. Woke up and found that I'd won him! Wasn't quite expecting that, had around 1.12m coins so was wondering whether to save for Ronaldo or not. I guess now I won't be :D

So, is Ribery worth the coins in LF position? I'll have him paired with Robben in RF, and Reus as the ST.

I'd have to, respectfully, disagree - granted I've only used him for about half a dozen games but so far he's averaging over a goal a game for me! Far better than NIF Bale or Hazard who are my other two favourite LM's for a BPL side! (can't quite stretch to one of the IF Bale's!)

Found IF Walcott up front a perfect partner for Suarez too! :D

Happy days.......unless I'm being screwed over by the AI! ;)

Yeah sure always up for a match, will try and play more normal times as Ive recently found that late night just either makes it hard to find cup games or its just really lame teams. Games right now seem to be childs play compared - got a 20-0 yesterday :p

HAHA was I palying against you I lost 20-0 yesterday.......

My AI team really sucks now yelling at the screen MOVE FROM THE HALFWAY LINE.

Don't know how many times last night I was at the corner flag and whipped in a cross to find no AI in the box. Or a long punt forward to find my CF standing on the half way line.

Is there a way to change the sensitivity of the controlling player the play sometimes switches to someone who isn't closest to the ball and I find myself running the wrong way or when the opposition runs through the center the controlling player jump back and forth and you end up giving him free run.... :(

Still getting to grips with the whole game since it's my first FIFA.

That's what I want to hear. If it works out, I'll probably sell Neymar as he wouldn't fit into a different team of mine, and I've already tried a Brazilian 4-3-2-1 team and just didn't get on with it (possibly because most of the best Brazilians were already in my other team though).

What's the most commonly used formation? I'm using 4-2-3-1 at the moment.

Also spent a bit of time buying golden players last night with long contracts. Got someone with 28 game contract for 300 coins :D ok he's probably pants but good for Div 4 :D

This is just my experience, but I would say 3-5-2, 4-3-2-1 and 4-1-2-1-2 are the most common formations I come up against. I quite like 4-3-1-2 as well, as long as you have someone in the CF position who can both create and score for you.
