I've got a 9900 (which obviously has BIS) with about 6 months left. I'm thinking about getting a Z10 and just sticking my 9900 SIM in it (after I get it transferred onto a Micro-SIM)... Will it make any difference that it does have BIS on the account? As I know the Z10 doesn't need it

Nope wont make a difference as on my rolling sim its just a normal data plan and BBM and everything works. I used to have BIS but when i changed from a contract to rolling sim, Tmo told me that BB no longer needs BIS anymore etc.
I'll be doing pretty much the same as you, i have a 9900 and once i get my Z10 ill be cutting my card down to fit the Z10.
I got mine online, came next day. If you have a store nearby it might be worth asking them to check their price list as the shelf displays don't have all the pricing options.

Ok just called Orange and they said that the Z10 is locked to Orange so wouldnt be able to use my Tmo sim in it. So basically they are doing exactly what O2 are doing albeit at a cheaper price, works out to £460.
I wonder if they just say that for all phones on PAYG? I'm running mine on my Tmo SIM fine, in fact the Orange SIM hasn't been in the phone at all.
Seems like it but i just cant take to the white Z10 tbh, it just does not appeal to me
Hmmm thats interesting that your running a tmo sim in your Z10, wonder if its worth buying it and IF it doesnt work then i can return in for a refund.

Yep, got it from their website. I think it's because now Tmo and Orange are part of EE, the network lock allows you to use either company's SIM. Don't know if the stores allow returns so I'd maybe buy online so you can return if needed.
To be fair, the white Z10 dodges my main annoyance with white devices. The front area around the screen is black, so you don't get the annoying black border around the screen like the iPhone 4/5 have.

I'm not a huge fan of the back but it doesn't look too bad. I'd definitely opt for black out of the two though.

Cheers mate, i just spoke to them again and they arent 100% sure if the phone is locked to Orange or not. They will unlock the phone for £20 but you need to be a PAYG customer for at least 6 mths.
They did say that i have 14 days in which to return the handset if im not happy with it. So thats a plus i guess.
Ahh **** it ill just buy it and hope that it works with my tmo sim and if not then ill just return it back to them for a refund.

The white Z10 is definitely better than the white iphones in that, as you said theres no black border.
My main gripe with the white z10 is the back, which is different to the black one ie the black z10 has a softer feel to the back whereas the white one is made out of a harder material and has little dots all over the back to aid handling etc. I read somewhere that one of the reasons why they went with a different material for the white is to stop it from getting stained ie in your back pocket of your jeans and the colour could weep into the material of the back.
Also someone over at crackberry was moaning about their back cover turning a slight shade of pink from a cheap £2 case they bought from ebay...of course your going to have issues with colours if you buy a cheap case
. And that was on a black Z10 as well.People buying cases always makes me laugh, £500 nicely designed phone, £1 eBay case.

Well decided to junp for the Orange PAYG Z10 for £460 so will see if my tmo sim will work in it...i hope so otherwise ill have to send it back for a refund then the wait continues in search of the elusive black Z10 sim free
.Yep thats the one i was looking at, pouch wise altho the transform case is pretty neat as well. Part of the case flips out so you can use it as a stand to watch movies if you dont want to hold the phone in your hands.

The other nice case ive seen which is similar to the pouch is the micro fiber one but not sure how that will stand up to daily wear and tear ie cant be sure if the outside of the case is also micro fiber.

The other good thing about that transform case is that when the multimedia dock comes out, then instead of having to take the phone out of the case, you can just flip the case out and plonk it into the multimedia dock.

Good luck when it arrives, and to answer your previous question it's completely unbranded, no logos on the phone. I don't think they’ve worked out how to add bloat to it yet

Cheers for getting back to me, thats good that theres no bloat either internally or externally on the phone. More or less sim free but without the network lock
