Cassano is a shame at LW, ichu I don't get it, been amazing all year long, 2 IF's, 1 UP (beyond IF1) and still under 80 shooting, its baffling tbh.

Sagna & Campagnaro look handy, will be trying them for sure!
 
For anyone using 41212 (or any formation with LM & RM's really!) - who do you guys generally use at LM for a BPL side?

I really like Bale, Hazard & IF Podolski but people on here seem to think they are "wasted" if not at LW or LF?!?!?

I play 4-5-1 and use Hazard in a LM position, he may not be as good there as LW or LF but certainly does the job still, if you dont want to spend loads though maybe try someone like Young?

I think it would depend on whether you want your LM to get crosses in a lot, or to cut inside more and try to score. I've used Bale as a LM and he was really good for me. If you want cheaper you could always use someone like Nzogbia or Matt Jarvis, I've heard they're pretty decent.

I'm really tempted for the IF or SIF Bale but they are a huge hike in coins for the perfectly capable NIF version!

Maybe I'll wait for the TIF of FIF considering how well he is playing this season! ;)

Which prompts a thought: what is the maximum number or "IF's" that any one player can get in a season do we think? And is it a simple increase in stats from the last IF each time???
 
They can go down from the previous IFs.

Nene had about 5 last year, each one better than the last

Pirlo had four but his last one (MOTM) was worse than his TOTS.

De Rossi also had a MOTM and a TOTS but in different positions, some better stats, some worse.
 
Since my previous post I've taken a long look into how to build a decent team, and I'm now making progress. I'm play 4231 with a Spanish connection for the players. Currently 4 1/2 stars, a rating of 80 with a chemistry of 98. It seems like it will take an age to get some top players into the team without the luck of a big player in a card pack, but I've seen lots of guides saying not to buy card packs, just buy your specific players from the market place? I understand that you get random players in a pack, and none of which may fit your team, but isn't there the chance of getting a high value player to sell for big bucks?

Pretty much spot on to be honest!

You can spend real cash on packs and if you drop lucky, you can get a real boost with a player worth selling!

Even if you do drop lucky and get a player you are actually after, odds are that he will be in the incorrect formation and often-times it's cheaper to sell him on and re-buy in the correct formation! (especially if the formation card you need is 6-7k!)

To be fair, you can build a pretty competitive team with max chem for not a lot of coins - ie. look for the likes of Kaboul rather than 50k+ for Kompany etc
