The FSA are based along Sunni lines and 90% of them are syrian military defectors and syrian volunteers who are, yes 'Islamic'.
Believe it or not, being 'Islamic' does not automatically make you a beardy salafist Al Qaeda recruit. I understand how to a simple mind like yours that might be the case given your zionist crack, but in this case the fault lines in the conflict in Syria are very roughly along the Sunni FSA and the Shia minority Alawites of Assads clan.
Finally, and I realise we have been using a lot of long words, groups like the Al Nusra Front and Ahrar al Sham, linked to AQ at least spiritually if not physically are not in the FSA command structure. Internationally, a lot of effort has gone into ensuring these groups do not get the non-military support provided by the West.

The Israelis are trying to break the Shia Axis (Iran-Syria-Hezbollah) for their probable upcoming war against Iran, so Iran is weaker. They want to replace the modern army of Assad with a rag tag militia of Jihadis and divide and conquer the region by fostering civil war between the Sunni/Shia. Of course the Jihadis will be no friends of Israel but Israel cannot have any friendly neighbours there because those people know what it is like to live under Israeli oppression.
Also, Al Qaida-linked groups coming to power on Israel's borders make it very easy to sell to the Western drone populations that Israel has to defend itself from these common enemies and that will give the Zionist Empire a pretext to expand East and swallow up some territory and natural resources.
They are playing a deep game.

They were still in use in east Germany until the 60's, Syria prob bought them cheap when they were replaced with AK's. If not then when the USSR collapsed trillions of dollars worth of weapons (not even accounting for inflation) simply disappeared from storage, Syria may well have bought them in the firesale.

Guile it's hard to take your theories seriously when you don't know how al-Qaeda is spelt.
Im not taking his side, but "al-Qaida" and "al-Qaeda" are both accepted spellings, the word doesn't just come from another language but from another alphabet.
I assume a major portion of the current value of one of those guns is the rarity of unused examples ... 5000 such added to the market is going to have quite a downward impact on that value.
