Hey guys, surely someone can help me with this :)

I have a meeting with a potential customer of mine in Stoke on trent tomorrow lunchtime, I will need to tether my laptop off my EE 4G lumia 920, how is stoke for mobile signal? I need to know if I'm going to be going through my demo at snails pace! I have a 3g ipad on 3 that I can tether off too if anyone happens to know if that has faster speeds there? :)

I think we got mobile phones in Stoke last week, so you might find some signal somewhere :p

Now given Stoke-on-Trent is 92.74 sq. km (according to Google at least), it's probably quite hard to say how good the EE signal might be...

It's generally fine but as above, it's spread over a big area so not so simple to say. There's no 4G. Three network is usually pretty bad in this area

I think Stoke will be getting electricity very soon

Hahaha XD - I've been stoke a few times and quite liked it, it's currently been described in way that makes me reminisce of the film Inbred, that small backwards town in yorkshire :P

"Ooooohhhh we'll be getting dem fancy electricitmifybobs soon I reckon!"

:D

I lived in Stoke for years. It's not "bad", per se, it's just completely uninspiring and depressing, aesthetically.

As far as the question goes, I can generally get a 3G signal when I'm there.

i never have a problem on 3 in stoke so dont worry too much, not about signal anyways....

...worry that you have a potential customer in stoke... thats the real worry.

your gonna be stabbed.

FYI, very good EE and 3 coverage for 3g in stoke ;P my iPad on 3 was hitting 14mb/s download on speedtest app - also went to a very nice place called the potters club, down the road from the station, lovely place :O
