In my eyes, any of us that can show 2 x 680/670 receipts should be given a discount voucher towards a Titan :) The buggers have made enough out of us already so a little customer loyalty bonus wouldn't hurt :D.

The others to wait in line behind :D

evga "kind of" done this by extending the step up program to 180 days during Christmas this year (free of charge and without the need to buy the warranty extension) so I may use that to pay the difference, i've got until June to use it.

I suspect there will be some small print excluding limited run special cards, but you may be lucky :)

I tried stepping up to a 690 from my old 680 and it was a no no :( I would be surprised if Titan would be included in the step up program.

It won't let you step up a 680 because

Graphics Cards Examples:

GTX 460 → GTX 580: YES (Upgraded GPU)
GTX 460 768MB → GTX 460 1GB: NO (Same GPU)
GTX 570 → GTX 480: NO (Must be GPU upgrade)

This is the top card in the list

Graphics Card
EVGA GeForce GTX 680+ 4GB w/Backplate - (04G-P4-2686-KR)

Whoever said 100 was very close :D
NDA to be lifted on the 18th i thought? Probably a couple weeks after for selling?

I've made up my mind and i'm getting one now.
No longer watercooling my brothers PC as he wants to stick with air (doesn't want to ow me anymore money :D) So all the stuff i've bought off the MM is going back for sale soon.

Couple hundred in the UK :p

Comparing specs to the 680, I can see this performing very well at triple screen resolutions.

It does say NDA to be lifted on the 18th and hopefully it will be a week after for official release but I am just going on other sites news. The good thing is, I am off for 2 weeks from the 23rd. Hopefully the release will be the 26th, as I am in Holland for the weekend 23rd and will be smashed :D

What is being predicted so far is:

  • Name to be Geforce GTX Titan and not linked to the 780
  • Only EVGA and Asus to supply Titans
  • 384 Bit memory bus (confirmed)
  • 6GB GDDR5 (confirmed)
  • 2688 Cuda Cores (confirmed)
  • 875 core clock speed (EVGA and Asus may have higher stock clocks)
  • 1502Mhz Memory clock speed (6008Mhz effective)
  • 288.4GB/s bandwith
  • 14 SMX clusters (confirmed)
  • 224 TMU's
  • 48 ROP's
  • 521mm2 die size
  • 7080 million transistors
  • 85% the performance of a 690
  • Priced at $899 - $1400
  • Paper launch 18th February (confirmed)
  • expected in shops 24th February
  • Less than 10,000 to be produced

That is most of what I can see as truth but maybe I have things wrong....Don't hate me please :p

Glad to hear Tones, I bet yours will be faster than mine :p
